Wanting another opinion, I called 74 Degrees Heating & Air, and I'm so glad I did. Their responsiveness was incredible. I called around 3:00 PM, and by 3:30 PM, Isaac and Flavio were already at my home.
I explained my experience with the other companies and made it clear that my goal was to keep my current system if at all possible. Instead of trying to sell me a new unit, they took the time to perform a thorough diagnostic and identify the actual problem. Once they found the issue, they gave me two honest options: repair my existing system or receive a quote for a new one. There was absolutely no pressure either way.

I chose to repair my system, and by 6:30 PM my air conditioner was running perfectly again saving me nearly $20,000. To make the experience even better, they backed their repair with a 6-month warranty, giving me complete peace of mind.

I recently purchased this home, and the previous owners had told me the AC had never worked properly.

The person who installed it 17 years ago, wired it incorrectly and there was a potential for a fire. It was placed in backwards and was sitting on 2x4's. It was a mess. I got other quotes but 74 degrees was the best quote and besides they had Flavio and he would be doing the work. It's done. I am so happy! We will have central heat for the winter.
